University Application
Online Application
The online application is the primary means of applying for admission to graduate study at Kent State University. For each online application option, students are required to create an account, which allows them to save the application and track the progress of materials submitted via the application system. For more information, see the instructions on the application.
IAKM and its certificate programs are offered through the College of Communication and Information. For certificates choose the non-degree option, the college above and the appropriate certificate.

Standardized Test Scores -Official TOEFL Scores
All international applicants whose education has been primarily outside the United States must provide objective evidence of proficiency in the English language with some exceptions. If you would like to determine whether you will be required to submit TOEFL scores, see the English Language Proficiency page on the Admissions site.

Official transcripts
An official transcript from each college/university in which 8 semester hours or more were earned (except for Kent State University) is required. Official transcripts are not issued directly to the student but are sent at the student’s request to the graduate admissions office (address below).
