User Experience Design Concentration Begins Fall 2009

News

Along with other changes in the Master of Science in IAKM, a new concentration in user experience design is being launched, combining the existing information architecture and information use concentrations. This change reflects the evolution of the related fields and still allows students the ability to focus in their areas of interest.

U.S. News and World Report Names User Experience as a "Best Career" for 2009

U.S. News and World Report posted its list of Best Careers for 2009 in December 2008. Usability Experience Specialist (also known under other names relating to information architecture, usability, and user experience design) was named as one of the best careers. Video Interviews with IA Pioneers Feature Professional Advice

At the 2007 IA Summit in Las Vegas, IAKM worked to gather video interviews from the top and pioneering professionals in the Information Architecture-related fields. Through the course of the Summit, many interviews were collected to be used in IAKM courses as well as in an effort to create a video history of the discipline. Following are some clips from the interviews. A video repository is currently under development.
