IAKM Courses May Be Taken as Continuing Education

All courses offered through IAKM may be taken individually by those interested in building their knowledge without having to earn a certificate or graduate degree.

Professionals who have found themselves working in information architecture, usability, and knowledge management and would like to pick up a foundation without being required to earn a full credential may opt to take individual courses at Kent State University as non-degree students.  Such students are still required to complete a university application, but the admissions process is much more abbreviated than the regular process.

Students who begin as non-degree students may choose to enter the full master's or even certificate programs, but there is a limit to the number of courses that may be applied to either.  Questions about non-degree status may be directed to Janna Korzenko at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it  or 330-672-5841.

For a list of potential courses see the area of interest, information architecture, usability, or knowledge management  within Program section.  The latest course schedules may be viewed on the Schedules page.
