William J. Robinson is the Manager of Competitive Intelligence at Aileron. As an information professional with over 19 years experience as an intelligence manager, collector and analyst, he is devoted to helping Aileron clients who need actionable intelligence to make better informed decisions.
William has held positions with several Fortune 500 companies including Ernst & Young LLP, Limited Brands, Sterling Commerce, Borden, Inc., and Owens Corning where he was responsible for creating and delivering strategic and tactical intelligence to decision-makers. William is also an active educator. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Information Architecture and Knowledge Management (IAKM) graduate program at Kent State University and he also serves on the program's advisory board. Additionally, William serves an as adjunct instructor for the online MBA program at Post University. As a member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals and the Special Libraries Association, William has been active as a speaker and leader at both the chapter and national levels. His research interests include data visualization and its use in intelligence analysis, Social Network Analysis, and curriculum development in intelligence.
William holds a Masters in Library Science from Kent State University, a B.A. in History from Wright State University and an Executive MBA Certificate from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. Additionally, he is an honors graduate of the U.S. Air Force School of Applied Cryptologic Sciences.
